With parenting and motherhood as their inspiration, choreographers Natalie Weir and Kate Denborough have devised a poignant and humorous program.

Natalie draws on an eclectic range of movement sources and her vocabulary most commonly blends both contemporary dance and ballet. Kate brings another dimension to the program with her focus on dance theatre work that is rich and raw in its physicality and humour.

Natalie originally created work for Tasdance in 2001 with Dirt for Treasured Island and again in 2003 with Fair Game. She has choreographed works for most Australian dance companies including the Australian Ballet, the Dancers Company, Dance North, Expressions Dance Company, The Queensland Ballet and WA Ballet. She has also worked extensively overseas.

Kate Denborough's achievements as a performer, choreographer and director have been recognised at the Australian Dance Awards receiving an award for Outstanding Achievement in Independent Dance. She and her partner, Gerard Van Dyck, have established their own dance company, KAGE, and have been acclaimed for their most recent work, Headlock.

Choreographers: Kate Denborough and Natalie Weir
Composer: Paula Lewis
Dancers: Floeur Alder, Malcolm McMillan, Amelia McQueen, Jason Northam, James Shannon, Charmene Yap

This program from TasDance is moving and thought provoking and will resonate loudly for all those people who have children of any age in their lives.
Kate Reilly, The Examiner, 5 July 2008
